AI for Contract Negotiation

For lawyers, procurement and sales leads, office managers and founders. Use AI to read a contract and build your issues list, set your target, fallback and walk-away, draft redlines with a plain reason for each, practise the negotiation against an AI playing the other side, and write up what was agreed. You learn to check every clause it summarises or drafts, and what never to paste into a public AI tool. Five short lessons. All examples are made up. Educational, not legal advice. Free.

"I prepared in half the time, practised against the AI until I stopped giving things away, and confirmed every term in writing"

5 Interactive Sessions

Short, interactive sessions: watch it work, try it, then build it yourself. You can go deeper at any time in the written chapters.

  1. 1

    Prepare with AI

Before you negotiate, you need to know exactly what the contract says and what the other side is asking for. The AI can read both in a minute and list the issues. You check its summary against the contract, clause by clause.

  2. 2

    Your playbook

Decide before the call what you want, what you would settle for, and when you would walk away, and know your best option if there is no deal. The AI can help you think it through and test it, but the numbers are yours.

  3. 3

    Redlines

A redline is a marked-up change to a contract. The AI is good at wording changes clearly and explaining them. It is not reliable at saying who a change helps, and calling a term standard proves nothing. You decide what to ask for.

  4. 4

    Practice round

Practise the renewal call before the real one. The AI plays Dana, Northgate's account manager, with her own brief that you cannot see. Use your playbook, trade instead of giving way, and close by putting the deal in writing.

  5. 5

Close, write it up, and stay safe

A deal is only as good as what gets written down. The AI can turn your call notes into a clear confirmation email in a minute. You check that it says exactly what was agreed and nothing more, and you keep confidential material out of tools that should not see it.
