This lesson uses one simple formula to turn watts into amps, so you can check the AI's working. It does not teach circuit design. How big the cable must be, what protection the circuit needs, and how much of the load you can assume runs at once all depend on your country's rules, how the cable is run, and how long it is. Those answers come from your rule book, for example the NEC in the US, BS 7671 in the UK or AS/NZS 3000 in Australia and New Zealand, and from your training.
A customer wants power in a new garden workshop: a 2,000 W heater, a 1,200 W table saw and 150 W of lights. The figures are from each tool's nameplate (made up for this course).
Maya wants a quick first sum before she does the proper design.
A chat AI can lay it out in seconds. It can also get it wrong in two quiet ways.
