ISO/IEC 42001 is the international standard for running AI responsibly across an organization, and companies can be certified against it. You play the new AI Governance Lead at Orrindale Insurance, a made-up insurer with six AI systems (two built, four bought), and build its AI management system from practice files: a scope statement and context, an AI policy built from a messy drawer of old documents, a RACI and measurable objectives, a scored risk register and impact assessments for two systems, a Statement of Applicability using illustrative practice controls, lifecycle records for one system and a check of two suppliers' AI answers, and an internal audit pack with a readiness gap list. The certificate covers the management system, not each AI system. The practice controls are our own examples, not the standard's text. Educational, not legal advice.
